Project Life Week 11 – Home Sweet Home.

Project Life Week 11 – Home Sweet Home.

UPDATE:  Still snow on the ground, but now no heat!

Our house is only 1 1/2 years old and our heating zone for upstairs is not working.  It’s been day 2 now and we are still waiting for a new circuit board (We have geo heating).  I was stressed out and had an upset stomach all yesterday because the repair person thought the warranty on that was up after a year (and I just put a deposit on that hot tub from the other post :( )  Anyway, good news is the board is covered, but not the service @ $75/hr.

Scrap update:

After 3 weeks of travel in the last 4 1/2 weeks, I can’t tell you how glad it was to finally be home.  But long absences like that mean you have alot of mundane home chores to catch up on.

I used my Studio Calico Project Life Kit and the Simple Stories “Oh Sn@p” journal pieces.  In the bottom right of the first page you will see my most favorite Chrismas present:  My mom bought me house cleaning once a month for the year…best prez ever!

Note the top right (on the right side)…yup.  Back on a diet and exercise regime. I think I’ll do a post next week about my personal likes and dislikes.  I imagine now (like many people), the new year’s resolutions have been sorely tested.

Not only did I highlight my SC monthly kit, but i aso included the fun little scrap kit I won (see previous blog post)

Again, using as much of my stamps in my aresenal as i can.  These include some Studio Calico, Amy Tangerine, Ali Edwards and some so old I don’t know who even made them. :)   I think the most fun of Project Life for me has been digging through my stash and using up those few stickers that are left on a sheet, or odd embelishments from here and there.

Here’s some closeups:

  1. My motto yesterday was, “It’s always something.” LOL! It seems like wherever I turned, there was something that needed to be fixed, redone, etc. Sounds like it’s reached your house too, Laura. I hope the heat gets fixed quickly and easily!

  2. sorry you have been so stressed over it. I get the same way! But it’s one of the reasons I started yoga. to relax (lol) it gets harder and harder some days though!

Great PL pages! I love all the little extras you put in like the magazine cover. I really need to document that, too!

  3. Glad your circut board is still under warranty. I thought there was a 5 yr home owners warranty for a newly built home..I remember ours had one.
You pages are always so full and so much to see :)

    • We’ve had three new houses in our lifetime and we’ve only ever had a one year builder warranty plus whatever mfg warranty there is. The heating unit has 1 year in some parts, 3,5, etc on other parts.
