So we have another snow storm heading our way. Looks like 2-8 inches, lol. They can’t make up their mind.
Fun Stuff First: We went to a home show recently and saw a bunch of hot tubs. We had one years ago before we moved to Texas and they are so wonderful for my arthritis. Well, the new 2013 models are shipping in April so we thought we’d hit our local stores to see what kind of deal we could get on a 2012.
I had already been doing much research and had pretty much settled on Jacuzzi, Maquis, HotSprings, Caldera and Sundance.
So far Sundance Optima offers the best therapeutic seating. And it’s one of the only tubs we saw that had handles to help me get in and out. If you have any experience, I’d love to hear from you.
On a Scrapooking Note: I’ve made a well-thought out, tough decision regarding Studio Calico. I’ve decided to drop my monthly Scrapbooking Subscription. I’ll still have my Project Life monthly kit and that gives me the add-on options. I was just more and more disappointed each month with the whole add-on shopping process. I didn’t see the value any more.
Don’t get m wrong….they filled a need I had last year to jump start my scrapbooking and try new products. Now that I am back in the groove, I prefer to select my own products.
Not to mention they’ve been repeating embellishments alot (just in different colors), their stamp sets haven’t been “all that” since Kelly Purkey Left, and I wasn’t thrilled with their classes (so the discount wasn’t an incentive for me.)

No experience with hot tubs – I live in FL so half of the year I walk into a sauna every day. LOL. No need for a hot tub.
I love the idea of getting a box each month with a bunch of goodies to discover, so I always think about getting a sub every month. But at the end of the day, I would just rather select my own stuff and think my money goes further when I’m just getting the stuff I know I will use.
You know, I stopped my sub to SC in 2010 after being a member for two years and really only considered going back once since then. But decided not to sub.
I don’t really sub to kit clubs, but will pick up the occasional kit from a club if I like it.
I like being able to pick out my own product as well
No experience with hot tubs, but that sure looks like a really nice one!
my husband would love to get a hot tub!
i have always been tempted to get a sc subscription but i just can’t justify the cost of it. i have loved your layouts that you have made with the past kits
I would love to have a hot tub and the one with the handles sounds optimal!!
I love hot tubs!! I can’t wait to have one at our forever home. Good luck getting a great deal! I totally understand about the SC subscriptions. I had to drop all of mine recently for budget reasons (we started the Dave Ramsey Plan). The only thing that I am going to really miss is the card kit paper pad though.
Hope you get a good deal on a hot tub, we’ve always wanted one. I just cancelled my sub to SC as well, just wasn’t using up my kits like I used to.
The hottub looks great
I’m not usually a “weather complainer” but I’m done with this New England winter!!! Bring on spring. That hot tub looks amazing…I’m jealous. Wonder if my condominium neighbors would mind me putting on at our front door;) Wish we had a yard/deck for one!
